Chrissy Mitchell: Bathroom remodel in Uptown, Minneapolis
Last Updated: Dec 30, 2004, 19:43
New bathroom fixtures shine with a brown limestone floor and wall tilework background, laid in diagonals. Typically, for a bathroom remodel, Chrissy and the client/s visit home improvement stores to pick out the types and color of tile and select bathroom fixtures that compliment each other. As the bathroom was small and well-lit, Chrissy suggested a diagonal tile pattern to give a quaint country feel to the room. White grout was chosen to set off the white fixtures.

Five Tilsner artists featured in Pioneer Press story external link
Last Updated: Jan 9, 2003, 12:47
Above: Rurik's Tarot interpretation.
As the governor of Minnesota's term in office drew to a close, the Pioneer Press asked local artists for their representations of Jesse Ventura's "official" portrait. Five Tilsner artists rose to the challenge: Bill Birawer, Rurik, Joshua Coast, Chrissy Mitchell, and Jim Duncan. Rurik (right) commented: “I’ve had this image around ever since Jesse’s inauguration; to me, it said, ‘I’m here, let’s have some fun and do the job.’ I created a tarot card feel, with a dichotomy of Jesse doing what he thought was the job but surrounded by the media, the so-called quote unquote ‘vultures.’ It was a chance for me to play with day one vs. the last day.”

Droplet featured in Pioneer Press
Last Updated: Jan 3, 2003, 10:52
"'On the Face of the Earth' showcases Droplet's mellow, jam band approach to rock. Mitchell's contemplative lyrics and delicate vocals give every song an earthy feel, blending nicely with the driving guitars and soulful beats." -- Pioneer Press, 3 January 2003.

Chrissy Mitchell: Mediterranean-style faux painted kitchen
Last Updated: Dec 31, 2002, 01:15
A warm-toned faux wall for a dining area. This earthy faux effect uses six colors and was created to give a Mediterranean feel and provide a balance to the aqua tones of the art works on the wall, two of a series by Chrissy titled Water Sculpting The Desert, 1997. Faux painting can be a revitilising or calming option for a room and has become one of the most sought after interior design options for good reason.
