Tilsner and Garsten Meeting of 9/29/04

Minutes From Meeting with Theresa (Garsten) and Trina (Tilsner Site Manager) of 09/29/04
Present: Deneen Gannon, Theresa, Trina

1. Deneen said she had heard from a couple of individuals who might be interested in performing basic maintenance requests for the Tilsner. However, she wasn’t sure if those people were seriously interested or not. Deneen will follow-up with those people. She will also mention a need for this at the next All Co-op meeting.

2. Garsten is still looking into acquiring tub drains for the Tilsner.

3. Deneen mentioned that the Management/Legal Documents committee had officially brought lease renewal functions back under their direction.

4. There was a discussion about what the Management/Legal Documents committee was currently working on. Deneen discussed the Tilsner “How to Get Things Done Guide.” She also mentioned that she would like to get soft copies of all the Tilsner important documents, so they could be posted for members on the Tilsner website. We discussed what documents could be put on the website. Theresa will help scan the documents and get them to Deneen.

5. Theresa mentioned that there are five units currently open in the Tilsner, and only one application in. We need to get the word out that there are units available. Advertising has been running in the City Pages. In addition, Garsten will be putting a large banner outside the Tilsner with rental info. Deneen mentioned that various Tilsner members had approached her over the past year, saying they would like to help fill Tilsner vacancies. Members would be willing to bring information about the Tilsner to their schools and workplaces, or handout to friends, family and acquaintances. If Garsten could create a one-page handout, they could be distributed at All Co-op meetings for members. Everyone thought this was a good idea.

GARSTEN To-Do’s:
1. Look at costs for simple tub screens, to keep items out of tub drains
2. Send Deneen softcopy documents of the Tilsner Bylaws, Occupancy Agreement, Master Lease, Articles of Incorporation, Disclosure Statement, and new member application.
3. Look into creating a one page handout on the Tilsner, that Tilsner members could post at their schools, workplace, or hand out to friends, family, etc.

DENEEN To-Do’s:
1. Try to find someone to volunteer to do basic maintenance requests for the Tilsner
2. Call Jane at TCHDC to get a soft copy of the Limited Partnership Agreement
