MORELLI'S MARKET
While stretching the concept of "walking distance from Lowertown" during the winter, the Italian deli and market Morelli's deserves an honorable mention for having great and affordable meat available from its deli, basic Italian groceries and ready-to-eat meals, and very cheap alcohol deals.

SPEEDWAY/SUPER AMERICA
Yes, it's a gas station, but it's the only place for blocks and blocks, so respect! Frozen pizzas, basic groceries, good soda deals, cigarettes, gas station hamburgers and sandwiches.
If you bank with Wells Fargo, Super America has an Instant Cash ATM that is free. Handy for deposits if you don't want to walk 8 blocks to downtown.
