Minneapolis Telecommunications Network (MTN)'s Access to Art Correspondent, Ashley Siebels, talked to some of the people behind Art Space and visited some of their local projects. Art Space is a non-profit real estate developer that creates affordable live-work spaces for artists, including the Tilsner Artists' Cooperative. Coming out of the artistic renaissance of the Minneapolis Warehouse District in the 1970’s, Art Space was created in 1979 as an advocacy organization for the space needs of artists. Now Art Space works with artists all over the country as a property developer and consultant.
