Committees are listed below in alphabetical order. Where committees have subsites on Tilsner.net offering more information, committee titles appear below as links.
Cleaning Committee
Responsibilities
1. To clean individual units in the Tilsner when necessary.
2. To work with the Management Agent to identify units which need cleaning.
Conciliation Committee
Responsibilities
1. To facilitate disputes between members.
2. To maintain an orderly system of handling grievances between members.
3. To work with the Management Agent and on-site manager to implement resolutions between members.
4. To create policies regarding any conciliation topics.
Construction Committee
Responsibilities
1. To review and approve all construction plans for individual units.
2. To oversee the "Canoe Room" area and the Storage area.
3. To create policies regarding construction issues at the Tilsner.
4. To review all construction plans for the Tilsner.
5. To work with the Management Agent and site manager for contract work on the Tilsner that will bill more than $1500.00.
6. To work with the Finance Committee on funding for proposed construction.
Finance Committee
Responsibilities
1. To draft the annual budget for the Tilsner.
2. To oversee the "Canoe Room" area and the Storage area.
3. To create policies regarding construction issues at the Tilsner.
4. To review all construction plans for the Tilsner
Gardening Committee
Responsibilities
1. To assist with designing, planting, and maintaining the park and gardens around the Tilsner.
2. To work with other community gardening organizations on the park and gardens around the Tilsner.
3. To work with the Finance Committee on funding for park or gardening projects.
Lease Renewal Committee
Responsibilities
1. To review member leases for renewal purposes.
2. To work with the Management Agent and Tilsner Board to implement Lease Renewal decisions.
Management/Legal Documents Committee
Responsibilities
1. To review and oversee management issues for the Tilsner.
2. To bring member questions and concerns to the Management Agent.
3. To review the performance of the Management Agent, the Onsite Manager, and Caretakers.
4. To create policies regarding management issues at the Tilsner.
5. To create and maintain the Tilsner member handbook.
6. To maintain all the legal documents for the Tilsner.
Outreach Committee
Responsibilities
1. To plan, coordinate, or assist with the Saint Paul Art Crawl.
2. To plan, coordinate, or assist with any special events that involve the Tilsner.
3. To coordinate the use of Tilsner space for exhibits, performances, etc.
4. To create policies regarding the use of Tilsner space, or special events that involve the Tilsner.
Painting Committee
Responsibilities
1. To paint individual units in the Tilsner when necessary.
2. To work with the Management Agent to identify units which need painting.
3. To assist the Management Agent with painting common areas of the Tilsner.
Selection Committee
Responsibilities
1. To interview potential new members for the Tilsner.
2. To assist with ranking Tilsner unit transfer applications if there are multiple applications for one unit.
3. To create policies regarding Selection issues for the Tilsner.
Welcome Committee
Responsibilities
1. To meet with new members and welcome them to the Tilsner.
2. To acquaint new members with important Tilsner information such as committees, participation, and policies.
3. To acquaint new members with the community around the Tilsner, and Saint Paul.
